Job Summary
Docol Group is seeking an experienced Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead catering operations and manage kitchen staff at our project facilities. The successful candidate will oversee menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, nutritional value, and health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate excellent cooking skills, preparing high-quality meals for large groups.
Plan and prepare menus with a focus on nutrition, variety, and cultural preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
Maintain strict compliance with health, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Manage kitchen inventory, stock levels, and ordering to minimize wastage.
Prepare and monitor the kitchen budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Introduce and prepare international cuisines as part of menu planning.
Coordinate with project managers to align catering with site schedules.
Train and mentor staff in food handling, sanitation, and safety practices.
Maintain records of daily operations, supplies, and expenses.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef, Head Cook, or Kitchen Manager in large-scale catering.
Excellent cooking skills with knowledge of international cuisines.
Strong understanding of nutritional values and ability to design balanced menus.
Experience in budget preparation, menu planning, and cost control.
Proficiency in inventory and stock management.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate clearly in English (spoken & written).
