Docol Group is urgently seeking experienced Waterproofing Technicians to join our construction team in Mogadishu. The role requires hands-on expertise in applying and maintaining waterproofing systems for high-rise, hotel, and commercial projects. This position is suited for candidates with proven technical skills, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Apply waterproofing systems (membranes, coatings, sealants, injections) on roofs, basements, walls, and wet areas.
Prepare and treat surfaces to ensure long-term durability and performance.
Inspect, test, and repair leaks, cracks, and dampness in concrete and masonry works.
Interpret technical drawings and implement waterproofing solutions accordingly.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment for application, mixing, and sealing.
Monitor curing processes to guarantee quality and compliance with project specifications.
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and finishing teams to align tasks.
Adhere strictly to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations at all times.
Maintain daily work logs, including progress reports and material usage.Â
Requirements
Technical diploma or trade certification in Waterproofing / Civil Works / Construction Trades.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience as a waterproofing technician in large-scale projects (high-rise, hotel, commercial).
Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems such as bituminous, polyurethane, acrylic, epoxy, and cementitious.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot water leakage issues effectively.
Familiarity with industry-standard safety procedures, tools, and equipment.
Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
