Surveyor Lead
Docol Group is seeking a highly experienced Surveyor Lead to join our team for the landmark Sima Hotel & Mall Project in Mogadishu. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all surveying operations on-site, ensuring accuracy in layouts, measurements, and land assessments for both the hotel and mall construction phases. The role will involve collaboration with architects, engineers, and construction teams to deliver precise and timely survey data.Â
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead all land surveying activities on-site.
Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction surveys.
Interpret architectural and structural drawings and verify site compliance.
Maintain updated records of survey data, maps, and documentation.
Provide accurate layout and control for civil and structural works.
Work closely with the project management and QA/QC teams to ensure adherence to design specifications.
Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and field staff.Â
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years proven experience in surveying, with at least 3 years in high-rise or large commercial projects.
Proficient in modern surveying tools and software (e.g., Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Excellent communication in English; Somali is a plus.
