In 2018, the U.S Army faced a critical challenge at a remote drone installation: the need for additional storage for bottled water and dry food products to sustain its personnel effectively. This project presented a multitude of complex obstacles, including high winds, flood risks, challenging site access, limited equipment and materials, and a scarcity of available labor in the remote location.

DOCOL, drawing upon its 37 years of experience and a deep well of expertise, embarked on a mission to engineer a solution that would not only meet but exceed the client’s requirements. The task was daunting but, as always, our team was up to the challenge.

Our innovative approach involved the design and construction of a steel modular lightweight structure. This structure, a marvel of engineering, could be manufactured in the United Arab Emirates and airlifted to the site. Once there, it could be rapidly installed, overcoming the logistical hurdles presented by the remote location.

Additionally, our electrical engineering expertise ensured compliance with the rigorous NFPA 70 (NEC) standard, guaranteeing the safety and reliability of the facility. Every aspect of the project, from design to engineering, was meticulously overseen and certified by DOCOL’s dedicated Professional Engineer (P.E), registered in the United States.
