Job Summary
Docol Group is seeking skilled Steel Fixers to join our construction team in Mogadishu. The successful candidates will be responsible for cutting, bending, assembling, and fixing steel bars and mesh to reinforce concrete structures in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret structural drawings and bar bending schedules.
Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and mesh using hand and power tools.
Place reinforcement steel accurately into formwork before concreting.
Secure rebar with ties and supports to maintain correct positioning.
Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to meet project requirements.
Ensure all reinforcement work complies with safety and quality standards.
Perform daily checks of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Steel Fixer in large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of reinforcement techniques and concrete works.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Skilled in using bending machines, cutting tools, and tying equipment.
Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
