Steel Fixer Foreman
Docol Group is seeking an experienced Steel Fixer Foreman to lead and manage steel fixing teams on major construction projects in Mogadishu. The successful candidate will supervise the cutting, bending, assembling, and fixing of steel reinforcement bars, ensuring compliance with structural drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities of steel fixing teams on site.
Read and interpret bar bending schedules and structural drawings.
Allocate tasks and monitor productivity, quality, and safety.
Inspect reinforcement works to ensure compliance with specifications.
Provide technical guidance and hands-on support where necessary.
Enforce Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations and PPE compliance.
Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to meet project milestones.
Maintain records of labor, materials, and daily progress.
Requirements
Somali national currently based in Mogadishu.
Proven experience as a Steel Fixer Foreman or senior steel fixer in large-scale projects.
Strong knowledge of reinforcement techniques and concrete works.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bar bending schedules.
Skilled in the use of bending machines, cutting tools, and tying equipment.
Strong leadership, supervision, and organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate clearly in English (spoken & written).
Safety-focused with the ability to maintain discipline and high standards on site.
