Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry materials to construct or repair walls, foundations, and other structures.
- Mix and apply mortar or cement to join masonry components.
- Cut and shape masonry materials using hand and power tools.
- Install and align structural components, such as rebar, to reinforce masonry.
- Perform inspections to ensure the quality and alignment of finished work.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project success.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using masonry tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
