We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Glazier to join our team. The Glazier will be
responsible for installing, fitting, and repairing glass in aluminum frames for a variety of structures, including commercial buildings, high-rises, and storefronts. The ideal candidate should have experience working with exterior glazing systems, safety protocols, and blueprint reading.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install glass panels in aluminum frames for windows, doors, curtainwalls, and facades.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Safely handle, transport, and install glass of various sizes and thicknesses.
- Install weather seals, caulking, and gaskets to ensure water and air tightness.
- Operate hand and power tools including glass cutters, drills, and grinders.
- Work on scaffolding, swing stages, or aerial lifts at heights when needed.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Follow all relevant safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Perform glass and frame repairs and replacements as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Glazier, preferably with aluminum and exterior glazing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with a variety of glass types (tempered, laminated, insulated, etc.).
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials andwork long hours.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
- Certification in glazing or construction safety (e.g., OSHA) is a plus.
