Recognizing the importance of this institution and its vital mandate, the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) collaborated closely with the NIEC to advance the cause of democracy in the nation. When it became evident that a dedicated office complex was essential for the NIEC to effectively execute its duties, the UNDP turned to DOCOL as the trusted partner for the construction of this crucial facility.
This landmark project encompassed the construction of a 2,400 square meter office complex, meticulously designed and developed using high-quality materials such as concrete and cinder block. In adherence to international standards, the facility’s electrical systems were engineered to meet the exacting requirements of British BS 7671 standards.
As a result of this collaboration, the NIEC gained a state-of-the-art facility that serves as the bedrock of democracy, providing a secure, technologically advanced, and functionally efficient workspace for the commission’s critical mission. This project exemplifies DOCOL’s unwavering commitment to supporting institutions that are instrumental in promoting democratic values and processes, contributing to the betterment of nations and societies.
